Delayed or canceled flights
Have you recently experienced a delayed or canceled flight. Then you can claim compensation directly from the airline. There are various things that can affect whether you are entitled to compensation for your delayed or canceled flight, and therefore we are trying to guide you on the applicable rules for delayed and canceled flights.
Since 2004, EU citizens have had the opportunity to receive compensation from airlines if your flight is delayed more than 3 hours. This is made possible because of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 February 2004 on common provisions for compensation and assistance to air passengers in the event of boarding rejection and cancellation or long delays and repealing Regulation (EEC) No 295/91 (Text with EEA relevance).
Over the past few years there have been more and more agencies offering to run the case and from there take between 20-25% of the compensation.
